High flow catted downpipe and inspection

I installed a catted downpipe in June and yesterday I had to go for my annual inspection I have a BM3 FlashTune which bypasses the check engine light but when I hooked the car up to the computer it failed inspection. It actually says my obd isn't ready? I tuned the car 6months ago lol no way I need to drive it more .I know I probably should have seen this coming lol just not too sure what I'm gonna do next, gonna try a recommended mechanic who will pass me, but if that doesn't work I will probably just go back to stock .

Which catted downpipe did you go with? Is it 200 or 300 cpsi?

This was the post I was expecting for a long time. Catted downpipe does not pass emissions inspection. Thanks for the info sir!

Lmao I'm gonna see what happens when I flash
Back to stock, if it passes/throws a check engine light I know the tune bypasses that

Am a New Yorker at heart, and returning to live there is a possibility. Hate having to switch back to stock DP.
In MI, there is not even safety inspection required, clunkers all over the place.

Active Autowerke guarantees no CEL with their 300 cpsi catted downpipe for the 50i, and that you will pass emissions in 49 states (sorry California).

https://store.activeautowerke.com/co...5-x6-550i-650i

Should be installed in about 3 weeks. My sticker is up in January so we'll see.

For that price, it better pass emissions!

Tell me about it! Worth the money to me to save the hassle on CELs and a failed emissions test.
