These used to be extras for E70 X5 and are now standard with the F15 X5 (comparison time): Automatic operation tailgate (316) Seat heating driver and passenger (494) Xenon lights + washing of the same (522+502) LED fog lights Intelligent emergency call (6AC) Tele services (6AE) USB (6NH) PACKAGES: Business package PLUS (ZGA) SA 609 Navigation system Professional SA 7S9 Connected Drive Service Package SA 6NS Comfort telephone for Smartphone connection (not quite sure what that is) SA 6NR Apps Comfort package (ZGL) SA 322 Comfort Access SA 323 Soft close doors SA 358 Clima comfort windshield SA 456 Comfort seats front Innovations package (ZGI) SA 5AT Driving Assistance Plus (active cruise control with Stop & GO and traffic jam assistant) SA 610 BMW Head-Up-Display SA 8TH Speed limit info OPTIONS: For the interior options there is the usual leather combinations, however the Alcantara/Leather combination also has the M logo (like in the current X6). Am not sure whether this option will make it to the US market. So the standard colours are: LCB8 Terra/Black LCCY Canberrabeige LCMY Mokka Black LCSW Black There is also some type of LCEW elf white. NA Nappa leather with extended contents (also with M logo with the M package) I will not elaborate a lot on the M package, but what I see is different is the exhaust has 8-cilinder optic, meaning it will probably look the same as the 5.0 exhaust The big difference is the M badge on the front side of the car (am not 100% sure but I think that is what it is). 217 Active Steering (again not an option for M50d) 248 Steering wheel heating 255 Sports steering wheel 2TB Sport Automatic Transmission (8 speed with paddles and driving dynamics switch in the middle console) 2VF Adaptive M drive 2VM Adaptive driving package comfort 2VP Adaptive driving package dynamic 322 Comfort Access 323 Soft-close doors 328 Aluminium sills 346 Chrome line exterior 358 Climate comfort windshield There are a few more options but they are pretty much the standard stuff, now the new stuff: 3E1 EXTERIOR DESIGN PURE EXCELLENCE PACKAGE (Only for 50i & 30d) Cannot sum up all of it, but it is basically parts in body colour of the car itself, so that it looks nicer as well as some protection below, to make it look more like an SUV (I have no photos of this), mirrors are in black colour like in the M package 3E2 EXTERIOR DESIGN PURE EXPERIENCE More expensive than the one above and it includes some different parts as well as bits in matt color, inside roof in black again, difficult without a photo. More options: 402 Panorama roof 417 Sun rolls (not automatic) 453 Active seats 456 Comfort seat (considerably cheaper with the M package) 4FF Comfort seats rear (side seats only, not an option with 4UB - 3rd row seats, not an option with standard non-leather upholstery AV) 481 Sport Seats for driver and passenger 4M5 BMW Individual leather dashboard (with nappa leather), in combo with Exclusive leather nappa with extended contents it can be with contrast stitching and with ATLAS grey colour 4U1 Ceramic controls 4NB Air-condition 4 zone (cheaper this time around) 4UB 3rd row seats 508 PDC 524 (Adaptive lights) 552 (Adaptive LED lights) - as expensive as now, extra for all models 563 Light package (not 100% sure but it looks like you can change the ambi light colours (3 colours) 5A1 LED fog lights (it says it is 3 horizontal LEDs) 5A3 BMW Night Vision with Dynamic Light Spot 5AC High-Beam Assistant 5AG Lance change assistant 5AL Active protection (for emergency braking) 5AR Traffic jam assistant (free with stop&GO cruise control, actually it is only available with stop&go cruise). 5DL Surround view 5DP Parking Assistant 601 TV function 609 Navi Pro (iDrive Touch controller included 12GB for audio, 10.25" Display with 1280*480 resolution) 610 BMW Head-up Display 654 DAB tuner 676 Hi-Fi Music system (9 speakers, out of which two sub-woofers, 250W) 688 Harman Kardon Surround (600W, 16 speakers, two sub-woofers) 6AK Connected Drive services 6AM Real Time Traffic 6F2 Bang and Olufsen (1200W, 16 speakers) 6FH Pro entertainment in the back (DVD only, no Blu-Ray, 2*9.2" screens) 6FV On-line Entertainment (for music mostly, 12million songs database) 6NR Apps In conclusion, it looks like there is no option for those LCD displays for speed (multi-functional display). I hope I am wrong, because I would really like to have that feature. There seems to be links to the HUD with extended info, but that does not seem like it is the one available now in the 5 and 7 series. Also no alcantara headliner, I really miss that! WHEELS: * Recommended wheel for Design Pure Excellence Package Style 468 wheels * M50d only Style 490 wheels * Efficient dynamics wheels (not available for M50d) Style 447 wheels Style 491 wheels * These are painted in black Style 551 wheels * BMW Individual wheels Cheers! After seeing the pictures of the new 2014 X5's, I placed an order for a 2013.

Well....admit that the currwnt MB ML is as uggly as an egg disguised as a potato....but why the hell does BMW need to copy their rival?
At least this is good for the sales figures of the current E70. Hurry on people, order one, as long as this E70 is available, because that's a nice car....unlike the coming F15 |

What i like best about my pathfinder winter beater is that it has rwd option as well as three 4wd options, i wish bmw suv's had this kind of option; good for gas mileage and handling |

Heated windshield was available on my last Range Rover. I agree with the other members about the RWD option. Most SUV's have both RWD and an AWD option.

agree, it is ugly in the pics. also, some of the free options they now include in standard model have been free for a while on some non-luxury brands. so the free give-aways are a joke; however, I would not rush to getting the current model. New model will have better fuel economy, more options, better tech, and better resale value. I see this as marrying aging super model vs marrying a hot girl next door. I choose the hot girl...

haha, true true but then again we do not know if hot chick will turn out to be ugly and the its not the fact aging supermodel will age that gracefully. Talking about cars though, selling a 2013 e70 vs 2013 Fxxx you will see buyers having hard time to pay the same/close amount for the aged model. like I've said, the new model will give more value for the money... the pics are ugly though....

They are using the F10 (5 series) chassis so there is going to be a significant weight loss from the previous generation, or should I say current, X5.
That allows BMW to not only to use sDrive (standard drive or rear-wheel drive) and rumored to be available in smaller engine, too |

I just saw it yesterday in Seal Beach on PCH all masked up. The shape of the car did not look exciting.

Take the 1st gen X5, make a few minor changes - update to LEDs, etc., add all these features to it and be done. The original X5 looked really nice, especially from the front and sides. This new one, judging from the photos, is rather bland and unexciting.
