Definitely want some coding done. Let me see if I can make it down on Sunday. I work down there during the week but live in the LBC.

Sunday, June 30th from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the Best Buy parking lot off of Jamboree and El Camino Real in Tustin. There's lots of space and it wasn't busy at all last time we did it there.

After the meet for those that want to stick around, we could hop over to one of the many places in the area for lunch.

If you are interested in attending, please post a message here. Also let me know if you want to code your car.
If this happens again in early August I would like to join as well! I had fun the first time we did this in this location...

Looks like up to about 10-12+ cars (including some via PM's).

Should be fun although it looks like I'll be doing a lot of coding.

If 10nelyboi can make it, we'll have two coders and that will help out a lot.

This wasn't supposed to be just a coding meet!

Any time is a good time to code. I've coded a couple of F30's with less than 200 miles on them.

If you're not sure you want to do this yet, you can still come to the meet (it's not just for coding) and we can ogle your new car.

It was great meeting all of you. Here are a couple of pics from my cheapo point-and-shoot.

DrivenByE30, did you get any good shots? You left before we could get the group shot. Next time!

So, we don't charge for coding. I let you borrow my cable and laptop and have you do the coding while I walk you through the process step-by-step so that you don't make any mistakes.

It takes about 30-45 minutes per car depending on how many things you want coded and how much explaining needs to be done. Knowing ahead of time what items you want coded from the checklist helps cut the codding time down some. We might have 2 coders available Sunday (10nelyboi and myself), so I hope to be able to do more chit-chat this time!

Yes, if the dealer updates the software on a module that you coded, then you will lose the changes you made.

Regarding warranty issues; this is has been discussed at length in other forums. I have never seen or heard of any issues as we are just enabling things that are already programmed into the car, they just aren't enabled in the US.

I've coded about 25 cars so far and never had a problem, but there is always some risk when you code (or drive, or wash the car, or ...). You have to decide if the benefit of the coding outweighs the risk.
I was waiting several days and never got a reply to the last PM I sent to you. I never saw this post. Sorry I missed you in the O.C. Hopefully, I can get up north when you have some time.

Sorry, I didn't see a question on your last PM and I assumed that since you posted here that you were going to attend on Sunday and we would figure out things then.

If you have the combox in your trunk, we should be able to code BT streaming. But, no combox means: no streaming, no second active phone support, no office, no white iPhone cable, no album art.

Again, sorry about the confusion.
