I get about 12 mpg in the city; best mpg I had was 18.5 mpg on a recent 1K mile trip to Montreal. I have 555 hp so it's not bad

That is crazy efficient. I had the benefit of downhill. Yours is just speed, and "soft" as you have termed it.
I'd love to see 25d results. |

I'd be interested to hear what other F15 35i xDrive owners are getting in terms of winter mileage.
For me, with mostly highway driving (during rush hours = city driving) Engine: 35i xDrive Mode: Comfort/Sport Load: 2 adults Negative Factors: winter temperatures + winter tires US MPG: 16.22 (I'm jealous of all you 35d owners!) l/100k: 14.5 I don't have an overly heavy foot but I do like to feel the power of the vehicle once in a while when traffic permits (which is not as often as I'd like). |

You gotta post a pic! Try a reset as a you enter a freeway, and send your best freeway MPG.

Best I ever got was on a 600km trip in one day (60% highway, 40% town/b-roads).
It was quite a hilly trip, lots of mountains! I was taking it very easy, trying to see what mileage I could get. I got a 40d 14.1 km/l 33.1 miles/gallon(US) 39.8 miles/gallon(UK) Pretty pleased, but again, this was taking it easy. I had it on 70mph on cruise control most of the way. I do think if it were flat, I would have gotten a bit more. |

Because of people like you Matt, my car is currently in the shop. My 35d was not coming close to your figures. Turns out, I had a bad AF sensor since I drove the car from the factory. As a result my MPG has been about 6-7 MPG too low. Overall average after 2500 miles was only 22 overall, mostly local driving. Odd that I never got a CEL. Hope this is the fix. Will post my figures as soon as I get the car back.
Keep the thread going!

Just so you know, wife gets 31-35 mpg in the highway. Our city/town driving is not reflective due to hills and 15 mph, windy streets. Still, town driving delivers about 21-23 mpg near our house, and about 25mpg elsewhere. I'll post some lousy results for our in-town routes when I get a really bad one. Hoping yours is fixed, and look forward to your post! |

Here is my overall MPG is since delivery.
For the past week or so been doing short 5-10 miles trips around country roads AND as its winter had the Auxiliary Heating on which one would think reduce MPG. -5c today so >glad I have it! I believe Imperial MP37.5 equates to 29.7 US? Clarification Question: are we just looking at Best/Worst on a given journey or just looking at best on a motorway/highway? |

You are over US 31 MPG! This is a good site for MPG / imperial MPG / L/100 calculated all at once: http://www.markporthouse.net/rangie/...conversion.htm |

Okay - Now I am not so sure they have found the issue for my low MPGs on the 35d. It was not the AF sensor that they are replacing. It is a fuel pressure sensor from a rail. We'll see if it makes a difference but I am skeptical that this is it. I sense I may have some issues coming up on this one. Stay tuned!

wjbender ramsal Baunton I think it is safe to say that with a careful foot, open road, EcoPro, and cruise control (except on downhills I tap the brake to let EcoPro coast the car), one can beat the stated US MPG of 31 with the 30d/35d. Would you agree?
mrboon beats it with a 40d! |
