Aggressive Fitment Question
Hey Guys,
Needed some advice please. I'm on Accuair Elevel and Airlift Kit all round for my E92 - that's suspension done. I'm thinking of selling my Rial Daytona 2 piece currently specc'd with: Fr: 19 x 10j et 18 w/ 3" dish (+7mm spacer to clear strut) R: 19 x 10j et 30 w/ 3" dish I have the opportunity to buy some 3 piece OZ wheels in 18s with the following spec: F: 18 x 9.5j et 38 w/ 2" dish (I'll run a 12mm spacer and take it 10j) R: 18 x 11j et 30 w/ 3.25" dish (Exactly what I'm after give or take) Can any one comment on whether I should even consider going down to 18s please and what the ride quality will be like? Should I sell the 19s and do a set of wheels that I've never yet seen been done on the E92 - atleast in the UK! Need to make a fairly quick decision so chime in one and all. I am definitely after stance but don't want to compromise TOO much on ride quality as it's a daily. Thanks. Sam |

Ride will be better on the 18s, no doubt. You'll need a hardcore roll and pull to get anything fatter than a 245 on the back I would think.
EDIT: decided to remove comments I wasn't 100% sure of. By the way, if you post in Wheels and Tires forum, you'll no doubt attract the eye of our resident wheel guru, monacoblue.

I think you should do it. It will look awesome and if you want more aggressive then you can rebuild them. I would use 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 tyres. You should remember Frode D's ride http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=957098

watch out going down to 18's if you end up laying frame like me it brings a whole new set of questions into play when you air out. My bag popped out due to there being literally no pressure on it.

this is interesting...with all my wheel options I was never able to go lower then about 30 psi in the rear aired out. But I will say that bag riders changed from a double size bag (like the one in the picture) to a single.

love what you are thinking for a setup but why is this in the photo section? seems the wheel and tire subforum would be a better location.

Ok because I've been contemplating on it all week. I think I'm stick to my Rial Daytona and just go Wider rear dishes and make it 4" rear..
That or sell them off and save up for BBS RS2 in 18s because that's what's avialble from the US made to spec!! |

I've aired out several times to 0 psi and never ran to any issues but when I do air out to 0 my fender is sitting on top of the lip. I usually air out to about 20 psi in the rear just to be on the safe side.
