F30 Carbon Fiber. Got rid of the silver!

Hi guys. Just did my first mod on my 2012 328i. Got rid of the silver and went with the vinyl carbon fiber wrap. Just wanted to see what you all think. I would appreciate the input.
Thanks!

This is really nice! Do you see the outline from the silver trim at all?

Thanks! No. I took the vents off and made sure to wrap all the way behind the trip so that no silver would show. This was my first time ever wrapping anything. Was a little challenge, but got better at it as I did the other pieces.

Nice work so far, but the M-badge is too much hence this is selfmade and not near the M-interior look. If you had used 6D CF, then it come closer to the real look and the badge wouldnt look ricey

I'm sorry to be the party-pooper, but i've never liked the look and feel of "carbon"vinyl. It just screams 'fake!' and the badge completes the tackiness. (But that's just my opinion, I hope you're not offended by it) I would've wrapped them with real cf and finished with resin and clearcoat.
My second remark is about the weave. Why did you change the direction on the dashboard trim? I think it would be more of a whole when the weave stays in the same direction so it looks like it flows through from one trim to the other.
To end with a positive note:
I do think you did an excellent job on the wrapping itself. (Ie. no bubbles, nothing overstretched/distorted and the weave is straight)

Thanks! No, I am not offended. I have owned various BMWs and have always modified wheels, bumpers, lights etc. But never CF wrapped. I didn't think about the direction. I guess the good thing is that I can always do it again and with a different finish.
This is what I was wanting... someone else's opinion.

I would always recommend Dinoc CA-421, it achieves the best results by wrapping and here into this section is a whole thread of users who had done several wrappings with it before.
But to give you a clue whats "real" carbon wrapping is looks like after works' done, take a look at this and tell me, whats fake and whats real
Btw.: The blisters and bubbles are gone meanwhile. Have to take a better shot.

Finished I even today

I like your dash, did you have the silver trim like mine? How did you cover it to make it look like one piece?

Here's mine, I used vivid ultra gloss 3D carbon I like it so far. I've redone the dash twice and might do it again.

Some minor issues with edges and like one air bubble that is mocking me. The wrap was more difficult to work then some I have used.

That looks nice! Doesn't even look like a wrap. My dash was silver but didn't have the seperate bottom trim to accent the upper part. It was all one piece all the way across. I just changed my trim to a better quality wrap today. I changed to the better 3M Dinoc CA-421. It looks a lot better and has more depth to it. One of the guys on this post recommended it.

Nice man post it up, thanks though I was worried it looked cheap. I think it's growing on me and saved me money to buy my exhaust.

Redid the carbon fiber and replaced with the recommended better quality Dinoc. Looks so much better.
