Changing LED interior lights

Hi to all,

I noticed that the interior lights are quite dim. I managed to change some of them, but the biggest problem is ones in the back seat.

They are the dimmest and I tried everything and I couldn't remove the plastic cover.

If anyone has experience I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Curious to what bulbs you used. Been thinking of doing this as well.

Have you turned up the brightness via iDrive?

I changed ones in the trunk and glove box because I had some spares from my Audi. They are decent for that purpose, but a bit blue-ish so I am ordering new set from Amazon.

Problem for me atm is I cannot remove ones on the back seat. I really tried.

Have you tried the thumb wheel?
Page 98 of owners manual
“Interior lamps:
The interior lamps, footwell lamps, entry lamps and courtesy lamps are controlled automati‐ cally. The brightness of some of these lamps is influ‐enced by the thumbwheel for the instrument lighting.”

Also, try your iDrive.
iDrive: Settings>Lighting>Interior Lighting: Brightness (move all the way to the right)

I double checked, I don't have that option in my iDrive system.
