The race track at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club is a fantastic combination of fast sweeping corners, quick esses, off-camber turns, over 125 ft of elevation change and 4 high-speed straights including a half mile straight. With replicas of some of racing’s most famous corners including Mosport’s 5a and 5b, the Watkins Glen “Bus Stop”, and Road Atlanta’s turn 1, Laguna Seca’s “Corkscrew”, our track provides a challenging experience for every level of driver.

Come join us for exciting weekend at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump Nevada.

Registration Fee: $549 per driver (lunch is provided with entry fee)

Spectator/Passenger Fee: $40 (lunch is included)

I'm planning on going since it's a pretty exclusive track now that it's gone private, and I've heard good things about it. No experience necessary, just a willingness to try something new! No track car needed, just bring your street G8X! Photographer will be on hand to get cool shots on the track. We can get a group photo of all the bimmerpost members too!

No, not street racing, but TIME ATTACK!!

Adams Motorsport Park hosts the occasional Time Attack and drift events Friday nights and Saturday nights respectively.

In Time Attack, the premise is simple: you versus the clock on our road course. Any car, any driver – whether it is your daily driver or a dedicated track machine, Time Attack at Adams Motorsports Park lets you push yourself and your car around our fast and technical track while the stopwatch measures your every run.

It's a really fun, safe, and casual way to get into driving your car as hard as you are comfortable with. Beginners welcome, this is a low pressure environment to ultimately just have fun in a safe and legal way.

I've been going for over a year, everyone is super friendly, your lap times are not published until the end of the session, there is no "winner" since there are no car classes like in autocross, so there is no pressure. It's just you and the clock... and anyone you want to compare times with for some friendly competition! Tech inspection is really simple, just have a working car in good condition with brakes that work. Helmets are required, but you can rent one from the track.

The course is short and tight, so the wear and tear is low on your tires and brakes, very similar to an autocross.


Here's a video of one of my laps to give you an idea of what the course it like:

It's $35 per session, they run 3 sessions a night, and sessions starts at 6pm, 7:15pm, and 8:30pm. 3 runs per session, 3 laps per run.

This Friday will be my first time in the G82. I'd be happy to arrange a meet if anyone wants to come out and do some laps, whether you're a track rat or have never heard your tires screech. Perhaps get a group shot together at the end. I could also see if we could get a photographer to come out and take photos of your car on the track like these of me at Adams in my F80:
