Before I get a muffler delete....

I was really wanting to get a muffler delete on my new 2022 M240i as I did on my Genesis G70 3.3T. I am however afraid the noise may be a little to loud.

With JUST a muffler delete and no special exhausts or anything is this thing going to be a "House Shaker" or huge noise complaint for neighbors or should it be ok? When driving through my area I would just keep it on Eco to try to avoid bothering my neighbors but it won't be so bad as to cause complaints mostly would it?

It won't be annoyingly loud but loud yes. You should be fine.

The only un-avoidable annoying sound with these cars is the cold start.. Had the midpipe removed on my F22 and it was LOUD at start. I feel bad for the neighbors.

Literally only thing stopping me from modifying my exhaust.

If you don't plan on any further exhaust mods, muffler delete should be manageable in terms of volume but it definitely will be loud.

Muffler delete and downpipe on the other hand may be a bit closer to house-shaking loud. I was catless with a muffler delete on my F32 and the cold start was so loud that at times it would make me cringe.

It'll be loud with some drone.

I recommend you invest in an actual exhaust system in stock for a deep tone with more volume, not just louder

Dude already did one on an m340 and tbh the sound leaves a lot to be desired. I’m currently looking at options for fitting the HKS A90 Supra exhaust. If it’s not possible, then build one with the same routing. Sound on it is insane!

I had a 335i back in 2009 and the high flow cats did the most alteration to the sound. The dinan exhaust was nice but it really rumbled with the cats upgrade for flow. I think the downpipe on this car is the key really. I might look into getting one of those soon.
