Has anybody tried unplugging exhaust valve?

I have seen lots of people talking about trying to improve the exhaust on their G42s, but I actually really like how it sounds when its fully open in sport plus!

I talked to a guy the other day who said you can just open the exhaust valve, and then just unplug it, and it stays open. Has anybody on here done this? If so, I'd love to hear what your experiences have been. I'd also like to see how you guys went about it, as I'm a bit of a novice with this sort of thing.

I've also been told you might be able to just unplug a fuse for it, which would be even better!

Unplugged mine a few days after I got the car. I covered both the female and male ports with electrical tape and then secured them with a zip-tie. Haven't had any issues!

Photo was taken prior to trimming the zip-tie and covering the female port.

I remember seeing something about a fuse you can just pop out for that valve, if you want to avoid worrying about exposing the plug contacts to the elements.

If you search around on this forum you will find an image that shows which fuse to pull, i believe it must be pulled when the active exhaust is open, then it stays in that position. If you want it back to normal just pop the fuse back in. It's the easy to get at fuse panel in the trunk, not the under dash one.
But having this closed during startup supposedly helps a quicker engine warmup.
