Stock M240i Dragy 1/4 Mile

Hey everyone ,

My buddy was interested in doing some Dragy Pulls in my car and we managed to do a 12.38. Car is fully stock with 2 passengers.

The YouTube video you posted wasn't using launch control. Not sure if it would make a difference or not, but if that is a dash recording of the same run, then you need to put it in sport traction and sport shifting instead of DSC off. It will say "launch control ready" or....something like that.

I didn't post this video yet. It's due tomorrow at 1800 my time. Back to topic, I know how to do launch control & it's been proven that DSC Fully off using brake boosting is faster than launch control.

I've never used launch control. This was my previous car & fastest time, 340 Xdrive on stock turbo.

Ahhh yeah Mike I just saw that lol. When you launch your car though try DSC Fully off brake boost & after try launch control. This was a big talking point with the F Gen B58 powered cars and we came to the consensus that DSC Fully off was a bit faster.

I'll give it a shot. I always thought traction mode was like an M dynamic mode equivalent and worked some differential magic during launches to make sure all the power gets down.

I don't have a dragy, but I'll try to get some numbers.

FYSA, please post a full dragy slip with your claimed times. This wasn't a d*ck swinging post, I track my cars I don't care about 1/4 , 60-130, 100-200 etc like I did when I was in the States. I did this simply because my friend was curious I actually gave my my dragy for free because I haven't used it in over year.

It seems as though grown adults are getting hyper sensitive & it makes absolutely no sense especially when it's most people's first BMW or B58 powered vehicle in general coming with some information that has been discussed years ago.

To put this quite plainly I don't care what method you used. There's way too many variables that go into 1/4mi, 100-200, & 60-130 i.e, DA, Fuel Type, Ambient Temperature, tire pressure & weight of the car. So unless your coming with all this information to have a simple comparison like an adult then i don't care about your "FYI" it's childish.

Why would I use the search function on your response ? That's not how this works.

Use launch control. It's faster. Again, search 1/4 mile times in this forum and you'll find all kinds of useful information. Here's an 11.3 with just a DP and JB4. Using LC. Or don't and be slower. I really don't care.

You missed the part where I said I track my vehicles and I gave away my Dragy for free. Reading is fundamental.

OP makes thread about dragy times, doesn't use LC and is multiple 10ths slower, someone suggests using LC because it's faster, OP now only track star.

Thread is brilliant

Accurate.
Provide clarity on the situation it's not difficult. I can't take a guess on what I believe happened. I posted the dragy times for sh*ts & giggles. I've never even seen those dragy forums y'all have created because again I do not care. You come on here defending launch control with your life. I tell you that I don't care and that I drive on track. You think my claims is BS, so I ask you to check my post history and I posted my Instagram. Now you don't care because you thought my response was a cop out ? Lol. It's 0501 in Germany right now brother so I know you're at least 6-7 hours behind, go to bed.
