Dinan turbo inlet pipe

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my car. What do you all think? I'm sure it will mostly just add sound but I'm ok with that given the reasonable price and install. Not to mention it looks pretty cool too.

Why not just get the Dinan cold air intake? That's what I did and I love it. It adds a ton of sound to the car from the turbo.

You won’t hear any difference. On my 340 I first installed a turbo inlet on stock intake and I couldn’t tell any difference. The only way to truly increase intake sound is with an aftermarket intake. Even just replacing the panel filter in the stock box you won’t notice any difference.

This is best to pair with an aftermarket intake. Will you notice any difference with an aftermarket intake? No but it completes the intake tract.

I have a Dinan intake and ordered their inlet pipe yesterday. Just wanted a “full” intake.

Perfect! Then finish it off with the inlet. I seriously doubt there will be any difference but whatever!

I was hoping to get mine before the weekend but doesn’t look like that will happen.

Let me know what you think once you get it and install it. I'm hoping with the intake and pipe the turbo sound will be even more pronounced. If not then I may have to pass on it.

So I tried install this morning and it was a no-go. The PVC line would not fully seat to the new inlet. I un-installed and installed the OEM one 3 times just to make sure it wasn't user error. And it most def wasn't snapping into place. Curious to see if I just got an out of spec part of if anyone else has the same issue. Called the 800# and couldn't really figure much out and they said they'll get back with me Monday. 😞

I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't get it installed! I'm hoping you just got a faulty one and they can get you a new one that fits properly asap.

I got the Eventuri. I might give your guy a call to install it for me. I'm wondering if I wasted $1500 if this thing that's under $200 will do the same thing lol

The one under $200 is just the turbo inlet piece. Eventuri is a full intake system that I believe includes the turbo inlet portion as well.

Well that’s disappointing to here.

Mine comes tomorrow so I will post up how my install goes. Usually Dinan parts have great fitment.

They all do the same thing for the most part lol. Eventuri is super nice quality wise and they put a lot of time into R&D. That’s what you are paying for(besides the name)although it should be around 7/800 imo. The dinan intake is $450ish

Let me know how you make out! I’m going back again for wheels and a few other things soon lol

Sitting on pins and needles. And how easy is it to install? Do I need to take the Dinan box and assembly out?

Yes you do. And it wasn't hard per say. Getting the PVC line off is frustrating cause it's a tight space. Getting it on is impossible. And of course. I still haven't heard back from Dinan. 😑
