M Performance Exhaust for G42 - Anyone has or seen one

Interested to see if anyone has the M Performance Exhaust for the G42 or had heard one

I’m keen to get one if it is the same sound volume as the M340i system,

The part number would also be appreciated if known.

I think it'll be released once the M2 is released. I'm waiting for an MPE myself...or any axle-back where I can keep the stock tips.

They are available now, one of the good suppliers (paddleshifterz), can get them but the problem is freight between 1200-2000 Euros to here. I didn’t ask him for the part# if he was not supplying. His price was good but the freight was crazy

If a 340i x drive fits that would do the trick too. I’ll be changing the tips and have some like the original Akrapovic titanium tips

Do not order miltek if you aren't in Europe. Shipping cost is 500 buckaroos

Niceee man. The 340 exhaust doesn’t fit i’m 99% sure. Dinan confirmed there 340i exhaust didn’t fit,I would imagine we would have 20 options right now if they all were interchangeable.

Shal28 I was quoted $150-$340 from two different vendors to get the Milltek axel back shipped from Europe to DC.

I don't believe that the Milltek has been confirmed to fit the NA model of the car. It's set up for the Euro version which has OPF filters. I've seen claims that it will fit, but no evidence. You could probably modify it to plug the extra holes, but I think it would be better to wait for something else or else face the possibility of buyer's regret.

You've got Dinan working on something, as well as a company in California called Stradale Design. I've seen conflicting info regarding AWE, but I imagine that they'll release something at some point, too.

I checked shopbmwusa.com and it shows a m performance exhaust for the 2023 M240i. I wonder if this is a mistake because it says it doesn't fit the 2022 M240i.

That has been there for awhile. I bet it’s for the 230 but that’s not even a pic of a 230 haha. BMWs accessories site has always been garbage with listing wrong parts etc.

I gotcha. Based off the pic and it saying it wasn't compatible with 2022 M240i, I was pretty sure this was not correct. Part of me was hoping though

I have a feeling it's going to be a while before we see an M Performance muffler for the 240. I hope I'm wrong though.

It's available now from paddleshifterz.com - freight was the only thing that stopped me buying now.
Also our regional M Performance Dealer (Southern BM) said he could get one delivered in September.

In Australia freight import costs are insane, the local price of an mpe is over $4000 AUD . Freight from Germany was more than the cost of the exhaust (around $3,000 AUD)

The only other system I'd consider is an akra which is not done yet and prices are off the planet for those generally.

Building one of these to use as a daily driver is really hard and not really achievable without all the right software to calculate chamber sizes and noise cancellation. When you look at people who've done it at a custom shop none admit being really happy with the outcome.
The last thing you want is drone and vibration and a worse sound than it has now for the sake of just being loud.

You have two really good exhaust design business I know of in USA, Borla and Corsa who are really good with noise cancellation and getting sound right. Bora's Corvette C8 system is a great example

Hopefully these guys might come up with an alternative

So what does the M perf exhaust look like? Still use fake tips? What is different about the muffler?

Borla makes great sounding systems. I had a corsa exhaust way way back when I had a 2004 330 zhp. Sounded incredible

I think it's identical to the 340i xdrive from what I've been told bit still uses the fake tips, but that's easy to work around. I'll be using an Akra style 90mm pair of tips in ceramic black and an infill for the remaining odd area in the diffuser. Should improve the appearance quite some
