JB4 vs Carbahn Performance Controller

I have a new 2022 M240 with just uner 1k miles.

I am trying to decide between a JB4 and Carbahn Performance Controller. I would most likely get the warranty from Car Bahn also. I plan to only run 93 Octane, with a catted downpipe and intake. Looking to get a much power out of the car as possible, while valuing midrange and smoothness. I would even be up for running a MHD Back End flash on the JB4.

I have been having trouble finding dyno graphs of the Car Bahn Controller. What are people experience with Car Bahn Controller? Is there anyone that had a JB4 and switched or went the from a Car Bahn tp a JB4?

Once the DME is unlocked I will most likely go for a custom tune and a Pure 800 Turbo.

Don't get hopes up on the dme getting unlocked. It's could be years before anything

If your going for power keep the stock intake and just do a filter. These stock intakes are designed perfectly.

Femto can already unlock the dme. Just need to send your dme to Finland or Norway. They are in one of those countries.

Yes you can take out your ecu and send it in for a month but who really wants to do that. I'm talking when you can plug in any ecu tune it's gonna be a long time.

If keeping the stock intake just keep the stock filter. Swapping it is pointless, granted it’s cheap but you won’t feel any gains nor hear a sound increase.

If you want an increase in turbo sound get an aftermarket intake and it will be nice and loud, just don’t expect to feel a power increase. It’s 99% just for sound but it such a nice sound!

The intake is mainly for looks and sound, and the down pipe mainly to allow the turbo to spool faster.
