The car in that video is tuned. I asked and they confirmed. So, it's important to recognize that you will not get the added burbles and shift bangs just from installing the M Performance exhaust.

If they actually have an M Performance exhaust and not some aftermarket thing I'd love to know the part number. Have heard nothing on it since the car was announced.

Part numbers don’t start with a letter, google 18305a3bf69, and you get some hits but they are sketchy.

I find it very very odd that some person in South Korea supposedly has an m perf exhaust when it doesn’t even exist across the rest of the world.

Sounds like the stock exhaust with the exhuast valve forced 100% in sport plus mode with sport shift. The only difference being the burbles. Not really impressive if this is legit, odd why they wouldn't actually show it installed.

The part # is legit though

I've never even seen a part number anywhere before, so that alone is interesting. Agree though unless they show it I'm still skeptical.

Hoping BMW gets it out for sale eventually, it's one of the last things I want to change on my car.

Hey Everyone,

I went to the dealership a few months ago and talked to the parts guy and he pulled up the m performance exhaust for G42 M240i. I exact same diagram as shown above!

I was quoted $2,400 ion parts and $1,200 labor from my dealer.. I think I am going to wait a bit for things to cool off.

1,200 for labor?! I would tell them where to shove it.

It’s just an exhaust. On a lift it’s an hour of work.

Yeah.... I am debating going back to them pushing back with this very idea or just take this as my cue that they aren't trustworthy and move on. I'm a bit surprised, they were A++ during my order and purchase process.

Here is what alldata quotes for labor time. Don't pay attention to the exhaust prices, that isn't for m performance.

Looks like they quote 1.6 hours for the muffler remove and replace.

Guess that shop charges $600/hour lol

I would literally show them that print out and ask them if they want to correct their quote or lose business

Bothered my main dealership contacts about this a few weeks ago and both of them insisted that it was a waste of money and to just buy an aftermarket system.

Based on the pricing listed in this thread I would have to agree.
