What cambers are you running?

Hey guys, I am frustrated with Michelin CUP2. I'm the recent last three front sets of cup2 on my M4, they all got shredded after 1 -2 days of track. In the most recent event, my front camber it's at -3.3. Same shit happened again. I had to clock out after finishing session 3.

Is anyone else have this problems with Cup2?

I have a set of Nankang CR1 ready for the next track day. I will see what the difference are.

Garage List
If your camber up front is -3.3 and you tires look like this, either your tire pressures are low or it's just inevitable given the car's weight.

Hot tire pressure it's at 32psi on the track. I'm going to try -3.6 and Nankang CR1 next event to see the difference.

CSL Front lip, Kabel Canards, and GT style trunk wing. Everything else it's stock aero.

i guess i asking more specifically what GT wing you have, as there is not much out there for G8x or ones that specifically say they support mounting on G8x.

Not much G8x specifics. I got the one was for F8x. If you look at the M track car, they mounted the F82 M4 GT4 wing as well.

I asked about the G82 M4 GT4 wing. They want 8k. I gave up. I can put those $$$ for tires.

I consider chunking atypical wear. Get off of cup2 and run something that can take heat better, or take more cool downs.

Also I believe the on the money hot pressure is 36psi front and rear for these on cup 2 connect.

If I'm looking at the picture correctly it looks like you have wear on the sidewall all the way to the M in the Michellin logo meaning you are having sidewall roll over and your pressures are too low. I would recommend 36 hot and check temps with a pyrometer. Also go easy on the warm up lap and let the temps build temp/pressures gradually before you really start ripping on it. The nankangs will wear better but keep a close watch on the side wear markers and start with a higher PSI. This car is too heavy to be going out with 32 hot.

How did you achieve -3.3 static camber? If you only lowered than you haven't changed static camber an just moved into the dynamic camber range. I have camber plates with -3.2 static on stock suspension and when compressed camber is more like -4.7

Edit: ok I see you have the spl lower bits all over and coilovers.

Camber adjustment is based on tire temps. You want even temps across the tire in the hot pit after two flying laps.

Perhaps you're overdriving the tires.
