rear tyres on 2mm after 8000 miles!!
went for an oil change this morning, and the dealer reports both rear tyres on 2mm!
Only done approx 8000 miles on the michelin ps2 zp's! Phoned around and can get 4 non-rft's for less than the price of 2 rear rft's - Anyone using Falken 452 tyres? opinions? Most reviews seem to suggest they are good, but anyone here running them? |

If you get through runflats in 8k, christ knows what you will get out of non-runflats! I take it you have a heavy right foot?

My 330d's and 535d would kill rear tyres, whereas my M3 doesn't. Must be a torque thing!

Mine lasted for 17K miles which I thought was pretty good. I hope the PS2 ZP's last as long!

Have a look at the vredestien ultrac's if your thinking of going down the non flat tyre route. There's a fair few people on here running them, myself included, and quite like them.
I found on the internet quite cheap as well on this site, ordered a set of rears the friday before christmas and they were on my door step on the tuesday - www.tyrexpress.com I use a local mobile fitter who is quite happy to let me watch him to make sure he is careful. Plus he;s very good. He also fits them cash in hand so is quite reasonable. J. |

If you have a costco card give them a try - they gave me a very competitive price on some tyres for my cooper S, they only do michelin though.

Even though I hate the ride comfort of my bridgestone's RFT's (M-sport, so 18" 193 style 225 front, 255 rear). I just can not believe the tyre wear. I've got now 35k mls from new and still evenly 3 mm left on all tyres. These things are going to last over 40.000 miles! And I'm not exactly captain slow - my average speed (don't believe i've ever reset it) sits at 82 kpm / 51mph, depite sitting in traffic jams every evening (luckily i can avoid them in the mornings)
