Sounds more like a tiny mod than a major change IMO. I’ve heard it on an M340i and wasn’t all that impressed vs stock TBH.

I have tha AA downpipe and the stock exhaust. The sound is so much better now, even with it being catted. When I open the valves the loudness is perfect for me. So get ready, cause it really will open up the exhaust.

I will say its been a little over a week and it seems that the volume has increased a tad more than when it first went on. Don't get me wrong the sounds are there its just still fairly quiet.

This really had me considering getting it and installing it myself. Not a big difference over stock, but with a couple mods it might be a good combo.
Anyone here try a DIY install? |

18-30-5-a3b-f69, btw you happen to notice around the mperformance lettering there were two very small holes? I assume they aid in the sound a bit not totally sure though.

Those holes are most likely to drain water so it doesn’t accumulate in the muffler

What did you pay for BMW to install? Hour or two labor I’d assume?

Nice man, either will sound good for sure. I’ve been thinking about installing. I heard it in person on an M340 and it sounded really good under throttle.

I could swear I just saw a video you posted that was a muffler delete. So did you put the M on and then remove it? There’s two different videos showing the M install and then a clip on the road saying muffler delete and it definitely sounds different. Same car…..
