donor dme unlock

Hello I was curious if anyone knew if I bought a dme from a 2022 x4 m40 if I was able to send it into femto and install it into my g42 unlocked. Not sure how dme works with cloning them.

I actually asked a FEMTO cloning question about using a bench unlockable m240/m340 F series ECU the other week and it's actually pretty hard to find information on ECU compatibility. FemtoEvo responded to my thread dashing my hopes and dreams, but by my non-expert experience it seems your best best for that is going to be finding a m240/m340 G series ECU. I've seen a lot on ebay.

I'm also hoping to clone at some point, but right now I'm trying at least drive my car stock for a bit, and waiting for flex fuel support from MHD.
