Are you guys warming up to the G60's look yet?
Anyone warming up to the new look? Ive read all the front and rear end hate. And I know that people had initially lost they minds w the buck tooth m3/4. eventually some have grown to appreciate and/or accept it. Many jumped the gun on the look but bumping that up to an f80/82 and they look very dated (to me). Very. Dated.
I'm an insta fan of what they've done w the g60. There isn't anything about it that I don't like. I think it looks great and the wheel options look great, too. Looking forward to getting into an m60. |

Maybe a little. I need to see it in person. I definitely am not a fan of the new interior (the dash/screen configuration) or the lack of a shifter, but that ship has or is sailing across the marque.

Agree on the shifter. Was thinking of that this morning actually on an early drive. My hand has rested on one for 35 years. Gonna be / feel weird.

Well, have to see it in person before final verdict. However it is not an instant love, like many other BMWs ofthe past which I loved at first sight. One could argue that the design the has to grow on you will last longer, but an E39, F10/11 their beauty never faded in my eyes. I also liked the G80 instantly (and still do), the i3 still looks very modern, I even like the iX.
To me I think it is the sloping trunk that I really have an issue with, never liked that design on Audis an MBs either. Then there is all this black high gloss parts going on in the back, which besides the design, will be an utter nightmare in terms of scratches, swirls etc. I do have high hopes for the Touring as that will solve the isdue with the sloping trunk. |

EDIT: this car might look even better as a touring. The E61 resemblance is definitely there. BMW has been catching a lot of well earned flack for design as of late, but they got it right with the new 5er. https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/08/17/2...ng-spy-photos/ Last edited by Chihuahua; 08-21-2023 at 08:08 AM.. |

M sport once was matte black- then grey- now shiny piano black. But why? Can’t a car look sporty painted it’s color from the factory? This is extreme now on the I models with m designation. |

I dunno, I like the contrast it offers....and I've been wasting, er, spending money on full wraps my last 5 rides so not worried about scratches and such.
