Just to let everyone know I paid $500 to make this g20 m340i resonated touring kit fit. There’s some cutting and bending of new 3” pipe that needs to be done around the wheel well on the g42 m240i. Sound is great zero drone, but all of the rumble.

The labor to modify the g20 m340i AWE axle back kit to fit the g42 was $500. I’m very happy with the overall sound of the car now. Cold starts are still a bit loud but not obnoxious and driving sound is absolutely perfect.

I do miss the pops and the addicting up shift sounds from the G20, for some reason it’s gone on this car

That is likely why mine sounds a little different. I’d get an aftermarket downpipe if you can.

Yeah they changed everything after 2020, even 340s don't sound the same. Tuning can get it back but obviously that requires removing ecu and sending it away. A downpipe will enhance everything you are already hearing is all not really add anything new or make it sound like your 20 340 sadly.
