AMS Performance B58 intake manifold

https://www.amsperformance.com/produ...take-manifold/

As title says, anyone have experience with the above?

Looking for best option to max out OEM turbo set up, run E85 during summer months.

I know AMS has a reputation for making quality parts in my old Evo days...

No experience but watched a video on the wagner tuning one for the M240 G42 and it was impressive, temps and even performance gains.

Could not see confirmed fitment on their site but maybe you know it fits?

Nice E85 and manifold port injection! I take it you've already FEMTO unlocked your car and are probably going to go for a CAN bus integrated E85 setup?

Acutally, none of the above, just wondering if anyone has experience with this part on a B58 2 Series.

Just thinking about potential mod paths down the road...

Oh right on brother, I'm planning on going for Manifold PI and E85 myself as well as possibly an eventuri intake, and AA catted down pipe among things. There's even a BMW race shop near me that does b58 rebuilds that constantly tempts me with 800+ HP setups and don't get me started on pure drive train solutions with their built ZF8HP50s .

That being said you will absolutely need to get a ethanol/flex fuel tune if you do this. Otherwise you'll just have dumb port injectors that will just throw fuel into your engine without any context to what's going on, and loading up your car with excess E85 will cause your car to run lean as it takes additional fuel to combust properly (which is presumably the reason you're spending the money for manifold PI).

That is why I mentioned FEMTO unlocking as this is currently the only known method to unlock your ECU so that you can tune your car to integrate with flex fuel and canbus integrated port injection to your car.

AMS manifold user posted data wasnt looking too good. IAT was not stable during pulls.

I just installed a Wagner (check my post) very happy with the results.

Running E60 on Bm3 flex fuel map hitting 21psi on factory turbo. On the factory manifold my IAT used to climb up 30F during a 4-5 gear pull.

With the Wagner manifold, I can do 60-130 and it only goes up 3-4F.
