Alloy Advice!
i found a set of 18" M6 Rep alloys for a great price the sizes are :-
18x8 ET40 front and deeper 18x9inc Et32 rear Will they fit my car without spacers? The reason i'm going for 18" is ive just had a brand new set of tyres that cost £700 and i aint buying any more! They are saying the tyres to fit these alloys are 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rears Which are the same size that fit on my current 18" MV3 BMW original alloys, are these sizes correct for the alloys above and i'm correct in saying i can just swap them over? Would it be ok to put my runflats on these? if i do there will be a set of 18" MV3 OEM BMW alloys for sale! This isn't my car but its the same what do you think?

Nice looking wheels - I was considering these vs the MV3 for my winter wheel set, but having seen the picture, I think I'm sold.
Not sure where they are from, but I'm probably going to get mine from MStyle. Can't help with the other stuff I'm afraid!

You called?!
Right, with regards to your offsets: The fronts will fit on no problem - they will sit 3mm closer to the hub, but that shouldn't be a problem as there should still be enough clearance. If you wanted to use a 5mm spacer, that wouldn't be a problem either. The rears are a bit different - the offset on your proposed wheels is ET32 - standard is ET39 for a 9J wheel. That means that your proposed wheel will sit 7mm further out into the wheel arches. I don't think there'll be a problem with rubbing, but I'm not completely sure as yours is a saloon and not a coupe. The tyre sizes you've mentioned are the correct sizes. Bridgestone runflats (the sidewall-reinforced versions) can be installed on a conventional wheel. I don't know whether that is true of other runflat brands however.

i knew you would!
thanks for that, i will ask them if they have had any problems with the rears rubbing. the tyres i would put on are the bridgestone runflats RE05A or something like that! am i right in thinking the front track will reduce by 6mm in total and the rear would extend out 14mm in total? Will this affect the handling of the car and would the alignment need re doing? Thanks tone, |

They look good on that black saloon - go for it
We will have to have our very own 'M6 reps Staffs' meet lol Have to be quick though, as mine will be coming off in a few weeks as I start to get it back to standard |
