New 320d ED - 109 g/km CO2!!!

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/models/32...tSource=topnav

Wow, 109CO2! They have decreased the BHP to 161 but hey we could mod it, chuck on 19" rims and pay £35 road fund pa and 13% company car tax

http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/bmw-...es-ever/242655

Wonder what its like to drive?
Cheers

So this is in addtion to the 320d 177 engine not a replacement...."As with the standard 320d, the Efficient Dynamics model has a 2.0-litre diesel engine".

Looks like BM have jumped on the VW Bluemotion wagen by having a dedicated ultra efficient model.

Those are amazing stats - 68mpg combined!

Reminds me of when BMW used to do the 525e and 525i.

Is there ANY drop/change in performance with the latest mega low emission BMWs? The 335d is now LESS than our 1.3 litre 85bhp late 05 Suzuki Jimny! Amazing!

Yeap, agree think it will will be slower that the 320d 177, but I bet not by much (with that extra torque)...maybe mid-high 8sec 0-60?

That's still usefully quick yet emits probably less than a Bluemotion Polo!

That's pretty impressive. I've always favoured petrol engines over diesel but that could change my mind!

That is very impressive! Drop a remap on it and you will probably get similar power to the 177bhp 320D but with £35 road tax!

You got it.

The C02 myth is all about governmental control of the masses through fear and taxation at the end of the day.

This puts it in the same bracket as a 118d.
Will save a decent sum on company car tax. mmm.. may have to think about one for myself- more money to spend on engine upgrades on my track car
