Not sure if they do OEM or not but try Eurocarparts:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/Car-Parts

I tend to get all my consumables from these guys. Decently priced and the service is great.

They have outlets around the country and my local one is very close by so I tend to stick with them.

http://www.bmminiparts.com/ do genuine parts cheaply - never used them though, so can't comment on the service...

ECP etc won't supply OEM BMW parts - the link above is probably your best bet.

Has anyone bought from the guys above successfully? They are pretty cheap. I might use them as I need to buy some new pads myself actually.

All brake pads will meet the E90 Spec which means the pad has to meet certain OE criteria.

Lower RH corner, have a read if you're interested.

They are infact very good!

I take it your not giving the car back to BMW though? As they won't run it through AUC with anything other than OEM..

That's tosh mate surely.

The you see all sorts on AUC, aftermarket wheels all sorts. You think they'd check for brake pads???

They don't even know if you've got runflats on - couldn't give a toss.

Well thats what they stay. As for aftermarket wheels, I know some who definitely wouldn't touch them! Even if some would.

Just quoting letter of the law. Whether that many of the dealers actually follow through with their claims is another matter. But valid point, they are brake pads. Like they are going to spot that. So fair play.

Just had the car in for an oil service at the stealers today, whilst there asked for quote to change front discs n pads etc - price £462.06 inc. Service manager did say might be able to sharpen his pencil to tune of @ -10%.

Question. Has anyone got any experience of having front discs skimmed in a lathe, mine have suffered from bad corrosion due to car being parked up outside for extended periods, result bad vibration when braking hard from high speed.

Yep, I've got a special on-car lathe for this very problem. Works a treat.

Yep they quoted me similar. Which is why I did it myself. Because thats absolutely RIDICULOUS. they are taking well over £250 in labour charges there. If not £300. For an hour long job.
