False Flat Tire Warning

I'm new to the forum but have been reading it since I got my 335 coupe about a month ago. Great car.

Today, I got a flat tire warning. Took it to a tire place, and the pressure was low...27 on both fronts and 30 on both backs, but no flat. Temperature dropped dramatically this morning... cold front...went from 75 to 41 in about 3 hours. Apparently the rapid drop caused a rapid drop in tire pressure. Got the tires to the proper pressure and the warning went away.

Never had this happen in the 545 (which i traded in for this car).

I figured it was just low pressure when it happened to me yesterday morning when a cold front came thru. I still have the warning light and will fill tomorow to see if it goes away. thnx

if you have a drop from 70 to 40, you got a leak somewhere on the tire. No reason for tha air loss unless there is a problem with your valve stem. I would suggest have the tire shop drop the whole tire into a aquarium and see if there are bubbles.

the outside temp dropped that much ( 70F to 40F in 3 hours)...tire pressure dropped about 5 or 6 psi per tire...no probs with the tires...it was b/c the temp dropped so rapidly. All is good in my e92 world.
