Blue Angel Eyes Legal?

Heck of a time to ask, but I just installed the blue LED Angel Eye bulbs from E92 lighting. I assume these are Legal here in Florida?

I don't think so, I believe anything blue/red are reserved for emergency vehicles, therefore illegal for civvies.

Is that opinion or based on some known statute? These are the halos as DRL which dim when headlights come on. With the color of audi HID headlights which are very blue I'm hoping the DRL is OK. I see you're in NoVa? I used to live up there. What a Police State that was... No radar detectors, etc. Think it may be a bit more free down here... :>)

actually he is right. Anything that is like blue blue or red red is illegal. I asked a police officer myself on this one. I don't think they'll stop you though but dont take my word on it. A fix it ticket is much diff than impersonating a police officer

I remember reading it out in Cali, of course state laws vary, but I figured if it wasn't federal, it was probably very similar for most states. And yeah, the fuzz is everywhere around here.

http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...82-544-20.html

These are the halo's i'm talking about. Amazing none of the vendors have any disclaimers about legality... Now I'm not just concerned, but pissed!

The DRL mode is very blue. They dim down significantly when the HLs come on. I may just disable the DRL mode untilI can get some verification on this... :>(

I figured once I got these installed that they looked too cool to be legal! Damn it. Guess the sellers don't give a crap and will say it's only for show cars or off road use... But they don't have any disclaimers on these anywhere on their sites!

Glad I stil have the halogens to put back in. Boy is my wife gonna be PO'd when I ask her to help change these out! Not going to mention to her I'm out $150.00 on these damn things....

I suggest you uninstall them. I had the RD v1's on my e90 witch were very blue and i got pulled over in key largo for impersonation of a police vehicle. The Cop did not want to fill out the paper work of impounding my car and booking me and making me and my family walk to wherever we were going so he let me go. He also tried making me take them off but it was 9pm and i had no idea how to do it without shutting off all the lights. Get white AE's.

Good thing is.. bright white are just as sick (compared to the stock ones on pre-2010 cars) in my opinion. I think all the current model year cars come stock with bright white. Wish mine did!

Mine are bright white I have the angelibrights. I've had my halos on with the fogs only on and passed by cops hasent given me a problem. And the cops are assholes by my house so idk maybe I'm lucky. But now with all the 11's coming with the hyper white ones from factory I think it would be hard to get a ticket for it unless ofcourse there red or way too blue.

Yeah, doubt there's gonna be any hassle with white lights unless they were blinding oncoming traffic. Traffic laws specifically restrict the use of forward facing blue and red lights to cops snd emergency vehicles. No such restriction on whites.
