E92 Wet floor!

OK! So periodically i get a wet floor (driver's side) and also some 'misting' on driver's side windscreen. Have tried cleaning drains under wipers, and don't have sunroof. Still can't find out if it's due to water ingress or heater leak. However, no coolant loss! Have heard it could be door vapour barrier, but really can't see how this would create problem?
Any help gratefully appreciated!!!

Friend of mine on his e92 had similar and it was the drainage channels from the roof storage area. Could be something there, check under the back seats as well

I would definitely check the membrane on the door. Handy enough done and could be your problem. Had this on my E91.

Had identical problem on passenger side - water dripping from inside bottom of door onto interior cill carpet and into footwell. Problem was poorly sealed vapour barrier caused either by poor refit following passenger door glass removal or following minor accident repair to door panel. Cured within an hour by removing door card and repairing seal with butyl rubber seal (cost £4 or so for a cartridge off ebay). Problem was evident during many of the really heavy rains we had last year.

I used to get a wet drivers footwell too, but i soon discovered the problem! Hand car washes with overpowered power washers literally blasting through the inner arch!!! Never go to them now, I dont know what other people's experiences are but I find they get really close to the car with the lance rather than just a little effort with a sponge by hand.

I found a post somewhere suggesting the lower windshield cowl being installed incorrectly causing this. Hard rain today was the last straw. After some investigating it sure was installed incorrectly. The side windshield rubber was actually underneath the cowl which is quite wrong. I thought it was coming in the door at first. Just my experience for the forum.
