Everything is bigger in Texas...
...except the non-existent "Texas chat thread". With that said, there's no time like the present.

Hey...I am possibly relocating from Baltimore (where the chat thread is rather busy) to Longview....Any advice?...I would certainly want to get involved with the local E90 crowd...

that's a bit east of Dallas (which I'm sure you know), so you should have plenty of DFW peeps to mingle with....you'll likely just have to drive a little to meet up.

What's up guys? We do need to get some more meets going. I haven't seen too many modded e90+'s in DFW however. Only schneid's and a white e93 at my work with ACS type IV's. Sick car, I need to find out who owns it! I'll be at as many meets as possible once I finally get my car.

Since you guys are rather spread out, what kinds of meets are set up? Also, how's the local CCA?

I'm in Dallas -- lots of good autocrossing events up here (BMWCCA, Porsche Club and Equipe Rapide are all well organized). Some weekends we've three different events running. Hope to see y'all soon.

Is East Texas part of the Lone Star Chapter of the CCA? Looks like it covers a large area of the state.
What I like about the DC chapter are the monthly happy hours and several day and/or overnight driving tours.

Some of the autox events are at TMS, though I've not run there before. I'm told the surface is a bit slippery but very easy on tires. Although it's getting late in the season, there's an Equipe Rapide event in Mineral Wells on 11/10-11 -- see http://www.autocross.com/er/equiperapide/modules/news/. I don't think I'll be able to make it, but there's usually a strong showing.
