Rust on the rotor hat is unfortunately normal. Certain conditions can exacerbate it. It looks bad but is harmless.

Well, I am kind of regretting that I got the M Sport wheels. They are amazing but leave the rotors very exposed so the rust will show way more than in other wheels.

The rusty hub would bug me, I bought some silver caliper paint. (clean them good first) then paint just that hub part. dry, then reapply wheel.. looks new year round. (that silver caliper paint is 100% the color)

Yes, I have the individual tyre pressure monitoring system. In my opinion it is not really a big deal. It shows each tire pressure individually on the screen but all I care is a system that tells me I have low pressure tire and then I will check them all. BTW, the system has been kind of annoying since I already got warnings 3 times that I had a tire pressure problem but when I reseted the system it showed all tires were OK.

Happening to me too. Very ugly. The rotors on my f10 where much nicer looking. They had a machined aluminum look. These do not at all. Maybe BMW Goes cheeper on f15 because they will need to be replaced quicker than a car?

It is most likely the rust that is scraped off of the bare rotor (rain, car washes, etc.) rather than the hat of the rotor itself. If you don't wash the rotor hat regularly it will build up. Most likely if you spray this with IronX it will take care of this.

As said, its normal on most BMW models. It worse in certain areas of the world due to weather
Easily fixed though by having the non-contact parts painted with high temp paint. Or DIY if you are used to this kind of work.
