Well yes but this is a BMW forum first & foremost and I don't think any of the members here mind a little friendly chatter about non F15/F16 models. I'm sure over the 100+ pages of this thread we've deviated slightly from the main topic on more than a handful of occasions

Thanks! (The B8 "project" was more fun than the F31 despite no real products being available at the time for that vehicle. Wound up going with HFC, DP, Exhaust, upgraded FMIC, electronic controlled dampening on coil over suspension to mate with the Audi Drive Select system, subframe braces and sways, beefed up end-links and all the euro bits not found this side of the pond. I miss that car. It really turned heads for a lowly A4.)

Does a photo of a new born in the backseat without any barriers between her and the new leather count as a 'working SUV'

I'd go all black, but the color is too high maintenance for me (I had a black car before, never again!). But when they're clean, it's sheer beauty.

Agree with C5 FOR completely. Black is like having a second job unless you don't plan on keeping after it ALL the time. Nothing looks worse than a dirty black car.

I saw some guy with a black X5 with blacked out headlights and taillights. I couldn't tell his lights were on (maybe they weren't?); too black for me also. I mean I'm sure it looks sweet when it's clean, but when it's not.... no way.

It does look like a lot of black in the pictures, but in person it looks a lot better. I tend to keep my cars pretty clean, so going from a silver to a black car wasn't any additional overhead.

Black F15's are nice. Nicer than white honestly but I am not a fan of the all black out look though unless its a exotic car.
To me certain features of the car should pop like wheels, lights, character lines etc... I could never ever own a black car though. My ocd habits would drive me insane trying to keep the paint pristine 24/7 Alan

Finally picked my 40e up this week. The glacial silver is a BIT pale...but I didn't want to go as dark as the space gray. Barring some issues with the chargers at work (Fauled! Low line voltage!) this has been just an amazing couple of days so far. Here's to many more!
