Has anybody installed this on a F16? Can't figure out how to get the existing diffuser off (circled in black) after the four screws are removed.

I had a shop do my diffuser. They actually took off that whole greyish valance part as well to get easier access to pop off the lower diffuser from behind without breaking any clips which was the main concern. I know it seems a bit extreme just for a diffuser but that grey valance part alone is 649$ didn't want to get that damaged with my terrible diy skills

It looks like the diffuser is being held in by plastic clips. You may need to gently pry a flathead screwdriver in-between the gaps and loosen the clips. Don't quote me on that, just my interpretation of the diagram.

Yeah like JSN said there are 8-10 tabs on top/upper portion and 4 screws on lower part. 4 screws are easy to remove, but tabs are somewhat PITA. Here's a short clip where you can see those tabs - the guy removes stock diffuser in the beginning on video:
If you don't want to remove valence, you can probably use some plastic trim tool set so you won't scratch anything: https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-20598A-.../dp/B000LNBLTK and try to remove it without removing valence. |
