Roof rail retrofit question F15

Hi guys,

because i could not find some infos, altough the roof rail questions were here discussed, i ask directly, if anyone knows: are the 6 holes ( 3 for each side) already drilled, for retrofitting the roof rails?
I bought the car last year in september, and it has all the extras but no roof rails.....i found some in glossy black, would retrofit them, but i am not sure if the holes are there....if anybody already did it, not changing the existing ones, but installing them for the first time, i would appreciate any infos

I actually was not aware you could order an F15/F85 without roof rails.
Was pondering of how a roof rail delete would look like, through wrapping or other means.

yes, i was also surprised, but it was ordered without....i am talking of an F15 from Germany so Europe, which i bought and i am driving it home in Romania ( Eastern Europe)
My previous E70 had the roof rail, also in glossy black, i was used to it and liked it.....altough without it, the F15 looks imo not necesserly bad....
i need it.....and that's why i want to retrofit it....

It looks very nice. Just not sure you can get it that way in the USA.

Are you trying via the website.. Or the app?
Your pictures need to be resized they don't allow large, high resolution images

I don't think the car can come without roof rails... They look different than on E70/71, there is no gap between them and the roof...

yes they can....it's an extra option....it was a little strange for me, as my previous E70 had it also, and all the x5 owners i new, and all the x5 i saw, had them.....but then i saw, some F16 also without it....so that' s it.....it's possible....
i will retrofit it, have the roof rails now....

first of all, i am not your "mate"
and keep it to yourself, with "brilliant" said ironically.....
btw you are not reading carefully, what i wrote: i saw some F16 also, driving arround without them, i did NOT seen them new, coming out form the factory, without them!
i do not know exactly, why it's such a wonder?! it's an extraoption! NOT included in any "package"....so, when configuring the new car, either it's on the list or even not....
Do i really have to ask Bmw, let them answer officialy, so that everybody is enlightened?

BV 50ANA Is there anything where the roof rails would be? I'm not sure but if there is it's probably mounted in the exact same spots and manner as the actual roof rails would be so it should be an easy swap.

Also, I found this: https://www.hubauer-shop.de/de/autot...30195-retrofi/. Perhaps you could contact them and ask for advice? Maybe they could even send you the "Einbauanleitung (EBA)" for this particular retrofit.

I'm pretty sure for Europe it was a roof rail delete code in the configuration, I've seen couple of F15 in the dealerships w/o rails.
