Why don't you take it out and clean it.
You're not driving the car right now are you 🤷🏽 |

Once I pickup a spare DPF I can clean it out then find the right time to swap it out. I actually am still driving the vehicle its got the warning "Drivetrain: check soon" warning which my dealer tells me is due to the DPF being clogged. My backup car 335d has been at the BMW dealership for 2 weeks getting the DPF, intake manifold, valve cover replaced as we speak(DPF is back ordered in germany so I don't know when I'm getting this). So I really have no other vehicle, the 35i is the wife's daily.

Then just get the solutions, remove your O2 sensor, and douse it in there. Then go for a 20-30 minute ride.
As long as it's not full fledge ash in there, it should work. I understand what you're wanting to do but driving it like that isn't going to help. Just giving you an option. BOL 🤙🏽 |

I've used both of these with no issues. I now use the liqui molly one as I bought the gun and adapters to keep my DPF clean |

I've seen the liqui moly one demonstrated on youtube. I think it may be good for a 20-25k mile interval preventative maintenance solution. I believe I am way beyond that point with 208k miles with no prior cleaning. I'm looking at trying Wynn off car DPF cleaner if ebay is willing ship it to the US.

Yeah… I'm at 109k, and I did my last cleaning at 107k. I put my camera in there and my honeycomb was clean, see through. I do drive long miles all the time.
