Gap between bumper and tailage when opening and when closed.

Noticed this gap between bumper and tailgate today. Is there supposed to be a trim piece here? Seems noticeable even when the gate is closed. Can anyone with a f15 35i with m sport check?

More pics with the tailgate closed. One straight on, the other at an angle.

Can anyone comment on if these clips are in all the way? All of them look the same.

Completely normal. Mine is the exact same. Every-time i look at that i think it must be something wrong but i've checked out other f15s and it was the exact same 100% spot on.

Yes its normal. Mine has that too. When I installed the hitch I tried to see if it could be made better but it was a no go.

Seems you're correct. The molding matches up everywhere else seemingly so don't know what could change. Thanks

There's a gap so the piece can free swing when opening and closing. Completely normal.
