Program new FOB

I researched and read many different answers. I bought a brand new aftermarket Key FOB (NOT OEM) and I have comfort access. Does anyone know how to program the new key FOB? Is it self programmable?

Is there any program to code the new Key or dealer is the only way?

What is "aftermarket" key fob? The only key will start your BMW is original BMW key. There is no other way around it, and even original BMW key is ordered from the dealership or some locksmith can add new key by removing your BDC controller and playing with eeprom. There is no way to code, clone, copy, program key from F15/F16 X5.

I meant eBay key. I have heard some people where able to get it to work with locksmith pulling BDC controller. I am not sure how safe is this this method but I might have to give it a try.

If you bought something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/123775639801 off ebay, the only way it might work is through the local locksmith, dealer won't do it (because they can't). Few folks in SoCal got it done as well as other regions, I personally won't do it just due to the fact that this will expose your car security.
