f15 and f85 rear calipers same?

So I was looking for rear caliper seals and f15 and f85 were both listed under same seal kit. Are they the same caliper ? Just different bracket for mounting ?

Using one of the online part database sites should give the answer...just look up the caliper's part nbr and click on it. The site will then list all other BMW models that use the same part nbr.

Can you post a pic that shows how it doesn't work? That'll help squash all the bad info on here

The sliders are wider apart on x5M vs 35i…

Ahhh, you should have specified 35i. The 50i rear caliper is the same as the X5M caliper, just using a different bracket. Although I guess we shouldn’t have assumed you meant a 50i lol

Orrrr maybe I’m thinking incorrectly…just realized you’re talking about the slide pin distance, not bolt mounting to the hub distance. All 3 different rear brakes will mount on each vehicle, as the hubs are the same. But apparently the bracket for the X5M caliper is the same on the hub side but not on the caliper mounting side. That’s weird
