50i Ignition Coil PN#

Out of all the DIYer threads, i couldn't confirm the PN for the Eldor ignition coils for a N63tu (50i) motor.

Can anyone confirm that the PN i'm looking for is Eldor 12138657273? I saw that PN pop up in a search here, but everywhere i look online shows this is for the older N63.

What Eldor PN do i need for a 50i?

That is the correct part, I just got a set from FCP Euro. However, know that the Eldor coils need to be trimmed to fit 2016+ (I believe) due to the tabbed connector (same as tye Dinan coils - see https://documents.dinancars.com/dina...oil_faq_r2.pdf)

Good to know. Is there info about the Bosch vs Eldor coils? I went Bosch last round.

i read that BMW switched from Bosch to Eldor due to issues they were having. The Eldor brand is supposed to be the updated OEM.

Interesting…I put the Bosch 8 coil kit from FCP Euro in 30k miles ago, zero issues so far. But I’m only a sample size of one, so…

I, too, used Bosch coils about 1.5 years ago with zero issues (& no trimming needed). Bought them on RockAuto.

Yeah, it’s weird how sometimes their site doesn’t show some things they have. When I search under “ignition coil” or “ignition kit” this doesn’t show up. Can’t remember how I found it lol

Edit- it doesn’t show up for mine because they list this as up to 2015, mine is a 2016. Silly 🤦‍♂️
