Magnetic non-vent iPhone mount for BMW F15: any recommendation?

I just installed Rennline Exact Fit Phone Mount on my F30 and now searching for a similar product for F15.

My thread from F30 forums with installation photos:

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4#post28530074

Any recommendations?

Just received a reply from Rennline and thought others will find it valuable.

"We do have plans to release a phone mount for the 2013+ X5, I would expect this product to come our in the next couple of months. Keep an eye out for our new product release emails and you should see this mount released shortly."

Sweet, use theirs in both my other cars and great system and don't like vent mounts!

That’s a nice mount. I usually go with ProClip, but I personally do not like the mounting locations on the X5. Nearly blocks the Idrive screen. This one seems like the most logical choice, though surprised at the dash disassembly to install it. They make it look very easy, which it probably is.

I tried that Scosche, and maybe i got a dud or something but it could barely hold my phone. A slight wiggle and it would start sliding.

Ended up trying
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KC2PMTD
and
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PRBJTFT.

Both are good, but the Adiupul (big paddle one) was the best overall. The steel plate that came with it was a bit thinner than the Coolpow but the magnets seemed stronger. Plus it gives allot more of mounting options.

If you don't want a holder where you have to remove the trim, and want something that sits higher (right below the bmw screen) and uses MagSafe:

I combined these 2 together:

1) use the mount from this product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0946R3DCS

2) use this MagSafe magnet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B1HVPMK1

I am about to order the Rennline for my X5 and the wife’s Porsche Macan. I imagine I don’t need to purchase anything extra as it looks like it comes with everything needed.

Question, how is the magnet? Is it strong enough that if you hit a bump the phone isn’t going to drop?

i have one in my classic bronco (imagine a rough ride) and it works really well with plenty of hold power

I do like my mounts to sit up higher, though I already ordered the Rennline. Curious does your phone partially cover the Idrive screen with that? That’s the only reason I didn’t go for my usual ProClip mount for the X5. From your pictures, the mount location is very similar to Proclip and if you have a large phone it obstructs the view a bit.

I have a small phone, so for me it doesn't cover the screen. With a large phone, it definitely does cover the screen a bit. However, if you put the phone horizontally, then it will not cover the screen at all.
