Rear fogs/euroswitch ftw. Was one of the first mods I did to my car thanks to my VW modding days.

Hopefully you guys don't turn these rear fogs on when there's no fog.

I've seen some cars on the road with their rear fogs on. It looks dumb, looks like you're riding the brake. And it's usually an audi I see. Lol

i use mine almost every morning headed into work. it's foggy where i live. once i hit the city i turn them off. they're annoying to stare at if it's clear out.

anyone have rear fog coded along with brake force display (flashing brake lights under hard braking)

I read somewhere for our north american tail lights we can have coded either feature but not both at the same time as the brake force display flashes the rear fogs.

While I agree that rear fogs should be used on an as needed basis , I’d argue that drivers who can’t tell the difference between a rear fog and a brake light need more driver training.

I just got my switch the other day, can you tell me how you replaced the US one? I’m unsure of what needs to get pulled and where to slide a trim tool piece in to get the appropriate pieces off to get access to the light switch. Also for anyone still looking I got mine on eBay for 40 euro…plus 43 euro for shipping lol. I think the demand for these is going down though and the price is kind of reflecting that but they are also not as abundant as I’m sure they once were. It wasn’t difficult to find it and I even found a brand new one for $300.

3069 > LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR: add _NSL to the end of current configurations
I just did the install and got the other codes to get them working but I do have the hidden error. I don’t understand how to add _NSL onto the current option. I can make it BEL_NSL but not LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR_NSL. I’m using BimmerCode and in expert mode. If I try to make my own value it doesn’t give me a keyboard or an option to make it _NSL. From the photo can you tell me what I should select for the appropriate action of not having the car think that the wrong light switch is installed.

Thank you!

I got mine off eBay. It was 40 euro plus shipping of about 40 euro. But that was best I found.

So part of me wants to just edit/delete that above post because I feel stupid but figured I’d update. I checked back while away from home hoping for a response and seeing the image at like 2x the size as on my phone read that option 10 is probably what I needed to select for line 3069. I was looking for the title and then the _NSL ending instead of what was already selected (option 4) with _NSL added on. I’ve made the change and next time I go for a drive I’ll run BimmerLink and see if the hidden code is gone. I think in the moment after installing the fogs and getting them working I was too excited and just didn’t put it together what to actually code. Sometimes walking away and taking a second look is the best plan. Hope this works.

i coded mine via bimmercode and recently ran bimmerlink to troubleshoot a different issue (spark plugs). bimmerlink shows "wrong switch" installed or something like that.
