Looking for a low dust brake pad
Hey guys I recently purchased a 2015 f15 X5 and I have to say in all the cars I have ever owned this has the absolute worst brake pad dusting. I have silver wheels and it really shows. Is there any good brake pad that will have good bite but way less dusting? TIA

i thought folks had good luck with powerstop? i've ran akebono euros and while they had low brake dust they didn't have much bite. i was definitely happy with the low dust tho. perfectly fine for daily driving... just don't expect a ton of performance from them

I got them from tirerack:
https://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resu...ar=Luxury+Line It is just the feeling, they stop the car as good as the stock, just initial bite is less aggressive, I got used to it in few weeks, doesn't change the stopping distance. |

The dealer I bought the car did do the brakes before I bought it so they could have cheaped out. It is terrible and I'm not even exaggerating.

Mine is MY15 with little over 100K miles, still on original BMW/OEM ones and rotors. Have not noticed any dust issue although they're close to touch the sensors. I'll go either OEM one or the ones the other folks have experienced without dust issue.

I switched to Powerstop last year and wonder why I didn't make the change sooner. Cleaning rims these days is a breeze.

I believe the F85 guys are running those powerstop pads with success and no squeals. But yes, akebono pads have low dust too
