Black Out Kidney Grill
I have an xline 35i and want to black out the chrome surround on the front kidney grill. I know they make aftermarket blacked out grills but I'd like to keep the silver slats and only black out the perimeter of the grill. Anyone done this? Got any pics? Could simply plastidipping the perimeter work and look good?

You can purchase the M Performance one and swap the outter rings.
They are interchangeable.

Saw a few pics of the black surround with satin slats and wasn't a fan. I'm wanting to black out the kidney grill as well as the lower satin middle valence piece and the accents on the side if front bumper (xline package). Prob is I don't really want a gloss or matte black but more of a satin black. Do they make the kidney grill in satin black or is my best bet plastidip?

New double slat gloss black grill with plastidip on the lower trim pieces. I'm happy, looks more aggressive to me. Now we'll see if the plasti holds up.

Hey looks good! Just make sure you put enough coats of plastidip on. Nothing worse than trying to peel it off and it breaks into a bunch of pieces.

Yeah that should be more than sufficient.
