I suppose I need to post the obligatory "this car suxx balz" nice color though. Almost a bit of pink/violet in there.

I don't understand... The front design is very similar to the current X5 so that can't be the reason for the negative response here on the F15 forums... the sloped rear ( coupe style) is following the previous X6... nothing has changed there.. Only thing that would make this car better would be bigger rims, shadowline trims instead of chrome... Someone mentioned that it is ugly because of the chrome behind the wheels which can be remedied with slight modifications...

I feel like this looks exactly as we all should think it would look. We've all seen all the press release photos, and we all should be aware that they always put the nicer (bigger) wheels on those cars, so seeing more normal size wheels on this car shouldn't be a surprise.
It's also important to realize that these cars we all see with the badges covered up are pre-production cars. This necessarily means there's a good chance that there will be bits and pieces here and there that are not indicative of the final product (which is why most of these cars end up getting lightly parted out and destroyed), so I wouldn't worry about the fact that there are chrome front fender vent trim pieces. XLine cars should by all means have satin silver trim all around. I think this car looks pretty good for a more base line X6. The color looks great, and I can't wait to see it in person to compare it to Vermillion Red. |

Why does BMW go back to the time in SUV lines?
X3,X5,X6 all looked better in previous generation. Actually X3 looks better in this gen but pre-LCI looks better. |

bigger wheels, lower it little more and tint it up and it will look good. Though, now it will look similar to X4 from exterior design so why pay $20k+ for X6 when X4 is good? that' my opinion.

Previous X6 looked incredibly elegant compared to this.
Chrome around the grill looks undesigned... as if they just decided to make the trim thicker without adding shape to it. Compare to 4 series "3D grill" (as BMW likes to call it)--it's designed and well proportioned with the car. Here is just looks odd. The headlights going into the grill and the thick eyebrows - again, proportions are off, makes the front end look heavy. Previous X6 was actually elegant in lighting design. I remember when photos were released everyone praised it for having the front face that the X5 always should have, and then ///M agreed and put the X6 front fascia onto the X5 M. Rear lights have been made larger and wider--all I have to say is: why. The interior on the other hand is remarkable, at least from photos. Looks premium from inch to inch. The exterior just looks like they took the old car and plastered on BMW's new visual design cue's (headlights that extend to grill, 3D grill, eyebrows, heavy sculpting) and just slammed them onto this car with zero finesse. This is why people are complaining.

I had to come again to this post to double post that it's so ugly.
Please stay away from this model so we don't get to see them on the road. |

Can you say "Pontiac Aztec"? More so than the last X6 even. Awful. That red is a trip back to the 90s as well.
