What size tire do you put on the wheel to match the 18" wheel and tire height. I have read the sizes have to match or it give you a code.

Well, I didn’t even know the F15/16 comes with a 18” option. Both of mine came with the 469M 20” wheel package, then I upgraded to the 21” OEM 375M wheel package. My 375’s have Front: 285/35 R21, Rear: 325/30 R21 and my 469’s have Front: 275/40 R20, Rear: 315/35 R20.
If you order a OEM set, they will work fine without any concerns of matching diameter etc.

Yes, if you buy OEM they'll come with the correct tyres but, to answer OP's question, 469M 20" come staggered: 275/40/20 at the front and 315/35/20 at the rear. Suspect that'll be the same for all 20" wheels

Just remember if your x5 came standard with 18" wheels, then you most likely dont have the fender lip flares on your car that came with models outfitted with 20" or greater sized wheels. If you replace your 18" wheels with OEM 20 or 21" inch wheels and dont add the flared lip, they will poke. If you dont want to mess with your wheel arches, but want to stay oem, then try the 19" non staggered OEM options.

467m is the 19” wheel option for m-sports. You can find good deals in the forums.

Not sure the # but really like the base 19" non m-sport rims that are two tone silver and black. I have 19s on mine but they are the all silver version and dont look that great. I cant switch out to the other 19" versions since my luxury line and white car has all silver and chrome, body colored lower panels. So even though I really like the other option, the black would look odd on my spec. There is another x5 in my work parking lot, same color, base version with black plastic wheel surrounds and lower body and the two tone 19" wheels look fantastic on it.

This is exactly what I did. I found a newly taken off set of 19" 467m with tires, TPMS, hub caps from a brand new X5. Squared setup with Michelin Latitudes HP 255/50/19. Bought and installed them to replace the stock 18" and couldn't be happier. Worked out well for what I needed!

So putting these 19" wheels and tires on didn't throw and codes or make u have to reprogram your speed odometer

Could someone post a pic of what the 20" or 21" wheel and tire combo looks like when u don't have the fender lip installed? How much do the poke out?
Thank you
Just found out I have a crack in one of my 18" tires and am going to do the bigger wheel upgrade now instead of buying new 18" tires

Nothing whatsoever! Put them on and went to iDrive to reset the TPMS. The system automatically recognized all TPMS after driving around (it required you to drive btw) then displayed both tire pressure and temperature of each tire (I coded for temperature display earlier). Pretty straightforward and simple!

I currently have the MPSS on them but they are on their final stages of life.
I have a set of P-Zeros to replace them for non-winter conditions and a set of Yokohama Blue Earth winter tires for the colder/winter conditions.

What kind of job is it to install the fender lip flares?
