X5 check engine light keeps coming on

I have taken my BMW 2015 X5 into the mechanic and had a spark plug replace, coil, and fuel injector, all due to a misfire according to the computer. Low and behold not two weeks later it is on again. The symptoms are a rough idle when I start up and a smell of gas. I really like our mechanic and I am a little perplexed why this keeps happening. Any feedback is appreciated.

Has your mechanic done physical tests like cylinder compression or he just reading codes only.

I have not taken it in to the dealership. Unfortunately not a huge fan of the dealership in our area. I am taking it back in this morning to once again check it to see what is going on but I am now just annoyed. It is a BMW X5 328i.

Yes, he has done physical test which all pointed to the fuel injector.
