Nav map update q

I downloaded newest update (NA 2019 - 2)

Put 32g usb into armrest usb port. Its suppose to recognize and ask for update.
However, nothing is happening. Did i miss a step or pre procedure?
Update was purchased from an ebay source.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Your navi unit is NBT or NBT Evo? Check what map version you have installed in the system before update. Is it NEXT or EVO?

Did you unpack it? Put all the files into the root? What file system is on your drive?
Check here too:

Did you format the USB thumb drive to ExFAT?

Did you use Mac or Windows to move the map files to USB? If use Mac, you will need to blueharvest to clean out hidden metadata that Mac creates.

With hidden files in the thumb drive, BMW will not read the files.
