Question Door Welcome / Puddle Lights

So I have these "BMW" logo welcome lights in the doors on my 750.I really like them and get compliments regularly for them. I want to install some in our X5 too. I ordered some from Amazon that indicated they would fit. But upon pulling down the light, the actual connector is different than on my car. Has anyone ordered/replaced theirs? If so, which set or brand did you get?

Thanks, Marcus

Were these with the BMW logo? If so I'm interested in where he got them or if anyone here has link?

Ebay or Amazon. Just search for your car. Ordered some for my sons 328. Fit was fine and looked great.

Just search for P/N 63312414105, comes with 4 different logos: BMW roundel, X Drive, //M and just word BMW.

I guess I will have to take a picture of the X5 connector next to the logo lights I did order online that showed they would fit but didn't...

It's 2 wires, '+' and '-', not a rocket science to cut & solder or re-pin or whatever.

Thanks for your unhelpful post genius.
But I'd prefer plug & play.

The P/N I mentioned is 100% plug&play, direct fitment for F15.

Thx. I had that part # and used it when I ordered a set off of eBay. But sadly. it did not fit. It does match up however with the same set I did install on my F0/750i.

There are definitely 2 types of connections.

Are you sure you are getting them right?May be you need to flip the connector or something? Here is some pictures for you, I also took a pic of my original light connector.

I ordered from Amazon as well. It is not directly plug and play but they had a pair of adaptor cables with metal ends to stick into the OEM cable plug/socket. I guess the OEM plastic plug has 4 holes and the adaptor cables first need to be plugged to the lights and then the metal cable ends of the cable need to be insterted into the OEM plug and they come on. It is not plug and play but it can be used with the attached adaptor. It is much cheaper than the OEM solution and you get what you paid for.

I bought 2 pairs of these for front and rear:

I ordered several different sets...3 to be exact...i learned there are two dif connectors.

Best to just verify on the set you want to make sure they are the same, or, as stated above, have the adapter.

The two I have are also different...so i have a big "X" on the front doors (these are OEM BMW), and then the back say "BMW X5" with the silhouette of the car.

Also - if I remember correctly you have to specify 14+...and I think some of the listings showed the connector in a pic...

here are the non-oem ones...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The ones I got off Ebay I don't have as my order history was deleted...

The OEM lights have metal heatsinks (LEDs get hot) whereas a lot of aftermarket ones are all plastic. Just something to be aware of and look out for.
