DIY (How to) Interior - Ambient Light - Color change.

I can't coding the ambient light BMW X5(F15). I am follow your instruction from this Link--> https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1205119.

But i can’t change the ambient light color. The program show “unknown” not show more color. I use e-sys 3.27 and psdzdata 4.17.30 lite version. How can i do it thank you so much.

Just tried the method above on my 2015 X5 (with the newer software) last night and it worked great. Here are the settings I used to change my 4th color group into bright red (hellrot):

AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_1_G: inaktiv (0x00)
AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_1_B: inaktiv (0x00)

AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_2_R: orange_R (0xFE)
AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_2_G: inaktiv (0x00)
AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_2_B: inaktiv (0x00)

AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_4_LAYER_3_R: orange_R (0xFE)

Don't let the "orange" confuse you - that's just setting the red channel to full, which is the same thing that the orange preset does. In fact, the first time I did it, I chose Custom Value and entered 0xFE, and it automatically selected orange_R for me since it was already an existing choice. By turning off the green and blue channels, you get full red.

Also worth noting that the color selection in the car's menu still shows the old name, in this case "Blue/White/White", but selecting it definitely lights the car up red.

My black interior now has a nice Darth Vader vibe to it at night.

So, if you have E-SYS with old launcher, where is no information in folder 3076, you can code embient light for all presetns in nbt by coding strings (change werte parametr in fuctionen):

Ok, I am intrigued now and might do this coding mod soon. Does it change the options on the iDrive menu, or do you have to remember that blue is now purple/lilac and so on?

You still have to remember which is which. The name remains the same. My "blue" option in the menu is now my red one.

When I pressed the code button and turned the car off and it was red ambient lighting, damn near fell out of the seat lol.
Funny thing is I've changed settings before but never knew exactly how many needed to be changed. This write up made it simple, and I was able to get rid of the ugly ass yellow colour I managed to create before lol

Still, red and blue are my favorites. I was playing around with Bimmercode and somehow created the color combination of "piss yellow" and "puke green"! Now I don't know how I achieved that combo.
