No turbo spool sound with downpipe...

Ok guys, I need some extra brainpower on this one. 2017 F85- AFE Intake, Bootmod3 stage 2 tune, Catless downpipes, I deleted the stock resonator and put in a Vibrant bottle (not the ultra quiet), added an Xpipe, and currently have a muffler delete. So yes...the only thing in the entire exhaust path Is the vibrant bottles in the front of the x-pipe, pre X.

Now, aside from It being stupid loud and not a great tone (I'd likely put the stock exhaust back on, or add a set of vibrant ultra quiets), I'm getting practically NO turbo spool sound. Video after video of 50i's and M's there's plenty of prevalent spool. That was pretty much the driving force behind me adding the catless downpipe to begin with.

What could I be missing? Is it possible I need MORE back pressure to create that sound? I really don't get it...

Have you had someone else drive it and listened from the outside? These have a good amount of sound deadening

Fair question. I have. Also fwiw I can hear it a bit through the intake even.

When I installed catless dps I was able to hear turbo spool very well when windows are down. But had horrible rasp and drone. So I installed x-pipe and then rasp and drone is gone but also turbo spool sound reduced.

PS: I also delete resonators and made pretty much no diff to the sound

Dump the muffler, that's really your only option

That sounded very close to mine. I have almost identical spec except I kept M Performance exhaust. Can you record it at speed?

There is no muffler. The only thing from the downpipe back is one set of vibrant resonators.

Just saw the video, how much louder do you want it? It sounds good. You can just go fender exit😂

It’s not the volume level, it’s the lack of turbo sound. Compared to most any other video I’ve seen there’s practically no spooling sound, which is what I wanted. Dumb or not, I love how it sounds haha.

I had a Magnaflow X pipe installed and its made things slightly baritone, didnt lose anything. My turbos arent as quiet as his.
