Rear door handle screw missing

Can someone please provide part number for a screw that holds part 16 in the diagram in place? I’m missing this bolt in my f85. Thanks a lot

Did the screw fall out or did it just back off? If you pop the plastic grommet parallels to the door handle, you should see the screw that holds that plastic end cap in.

A rudimentary way would be is to have a look at one of the other screws and match the head in RealOME.

There is no hardware in that diagram that secures #16. The hardware items are encircled in the diagram…and appear in the inset picturing the hardware.

And when you google that part number (#16)…no screw shows up in the pics of that part…check the handle on the other side to see if there’s a screw on that side:

The screw was lost by the dealer my guess when they worked on window regulator last year. I popped the rubber insert off and there’s no screw, it’s missing. So now I need to find this screw to replace it

Yeah, diagram doesn’t show the screw for this part for some reason. Yes the other side has Allen head screw in place. Called my local dealer and they’re having hard time finding it also.

Hmm, I wonder if the screw is part of the entire assembly…and isn’t sold separately?

Hey did you ever find the part # for that screw? I was taking mine off and unscrewed too much and it fell inside the door frame, unreachable. 🤦🏻*♂️🤷🏻*♂️

Can you just take the door card off to get it? It only takes a few minutes

No, I did not. My local BMW of Denver dealer couldn’t figure out which bolt it was exactly and it took them almost a week and few guys to go through parts catalog. At the end I said forget it and disassembled leather interior door panel and weather barrier behind the panel and reached with my hand and found not just 1 bolt but 2 lol. Looks like whoever worked on it last time replacing soft close mechanism dropped 2 screws

At the end that’s what I did.
